Is this a good protein skimmer?
and why do I have to buy another pump for this? Is it required when I already have a pumb in my sump?

I've read a lot about that Skimmer. It's got great reviews from most everyone. I haven't heard anything bad yet. It's what I'm saving for now. But, from what I've read a Amp master 2100 exterior pump is the way to go.
