Well i have the aquaC remora HOB skimmer/maxijet1200 pump.
They also make a surface skimmer attatchment for it which also has a chamber for the return to help stop microbubbles and apparantly it works great.
my question is if i got this and picked up some Liverock rubble from my LFS and put it in the return cup where it has a microbubble sponge, would this have any benifit?
in this image the left is where the pump sits in, the right is the return from the skimmer.
both are the same, one is just smaller.

I think the rubble might disrupt the bubble action of the skimmer? I'm not positive, I'm really answer to bump this up so someone else replies...

How's the tank?

having lr rubbles in the return part of the box would be a waste since the sponge is there already. any lr rubbles, u should just add them directly into the tank.

the tank is doing great!! got some more CUC today alone with a flame angel and some zoo's i think im doing stocking fish wise.
i replaced my HOB filter with the AquaC HOB skimmer. I was wondering about the microbubbles because i had an insane amount in the tank today.
i was wondering about the rubble as the water from the skimmer falls into the collection cup where the microbubbles sponge is to increase filtration.
