Hi.
Bought two of the ocellaris clowns (aquacultured) from SWF.
They won't eat
I've tried Formula 1 and 2 in the pellet and flake forms. I've tried frozen, spirulina enhanced brine, and a garlic enhanced food.
Any ideas? :help:
24g JBJ Nano.
40lbs live sand, 50pounds live rock, one BTA, hermits, black margarita snails, feather duster, purple mushrooms, green zoos, candycane frag...all doing well.
Amm/Trites = 0
Trates = 5
ph 8.2
SG 1.025
Set up in October, these are first inhabitants with fins.
Drip accli. for 3 hours.
Added to tank on Thursday.
THANKS

Try live brine. Not a good long term solution, but see if they eat. If so, start mixing live brine with frozen brine, then totally frozen brine, then start mixing in frozen mysis.
I personally also add in a drop of liquid garlic so that they associate the smell with food.

Thanks!
Will try to get some live brine...
Will also try a different brand of food--Spectrum...just to see.
Maybe the food is 'too big'?.....they are each about 2" clowns.

I saw them eat! Omega One Veggie Flakes....
Will try to switch them over to a frozen protein---I think it was the SIZE of the morsels.....(They are less than 2" long)
Thanks again.

Trust me its not size, Ive seen my old clown who died 2 days ago(SAD!) try to tackle a hunk of shrimp its size, meant for the anemone. Also ask what your LFS feeds.
