How do I adjust this beast to get it to settle down?
The Rio 2500 it came with for circulation and the smallest Dolphin I could buy make this skimmer throw off a TON of wet wet foam - it fills the collection cup in a matter of minutes.
What's teh procedure for getting this baby to make a little less foam?

Well, in my quest to find out more infor on this baby, I printed off the manual for this baby.
It doesn't have an adjustment section in it. Anyone else have one of these that can point me in the right direction?

Guide Review
Touted by the manufacturer as being used for years in America as the No. 1 sump installed skimmer for all saltwater aquariums up to 500 gallons, the Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 Classic has a compact design and is only 21 inches high, allowing it to fit into the sump of most standard sized cabinets. It is designed to operate with a Rio 2100 powerhead pump, making operation quiet. The unique needle wheel technology, which is used in all Turbofloter models, rotates at 3.600 rpm in the pump housing to produce highly efficient micro-bubbles for optimal skimming

Two things you can do. Put a valve on the RIO 2500 (oversized for this skimmer, not sure why they gave you that pump) and raise the level of the skimmer in relation to the water level in the sump. This will add head pressure and reduce flow, but the RIO 2500 is a high pressure pump (as RIO's go anyway) so you may need to elevate the skimmer quite a bit. Restricting the flow with a valve is really the easiest option. Also a 3-5 day period is necessary before the skimmer will perform well. If you put your hands in the tank (skin oils collapse foam) this will take even longer.

Thank you for the help. I'm not sure why there is a 2500 with it. I work at a fish store and we sell that product bundled with the 2100. I got this unit from a friend, and it had the 2500 with it. The unit is well broken in. It's funny - we don't even carry Rios anymore because all the trouble we had with them. But Aqua Medic bundles the Rio with the T-Flotor.
anyway...
So I need to install the flow control valve where? Between the 2500 and the intake for the skimmer? Or do I install it on the water intake from the dolphin pump? The Rio 2500 just acts as the circulation pump, where the dolphin actually is bringing the water in from the sump.
Sorry for the confusion, jsut want to make sure I buy the right parts at Home Depot.
