I'm about to transform my first chamber from the stock bio balls,bag of white stuff and blue foam to lr and filter floss.I keep reading that everyone is closing all the intakes except the top for overflow.My question is even with the blockers in doesn't a little water still flow through?The reason I ask is if I fill the first chamber up with lr with some filter floss on top how do the bottom intakes that i'm talking about get filtered?I know they are blocked but like I said "some" water still has to pass through.Mabey i'm just thinking into it to much.Also I dont see how any gas exchange can occure through the overflow because the back chambers are as full as the tank so there is not an "overflow" into the chamber.
