Aquapod 24 mods - helpful links or advice?

Looking to modify my aquapod once i get and in the mean time I am researching what mods to do. Looks like upgrading the stock pump with a maxi jet 900 or 1200 is a start, added a loc-line splitter, and thinking about adding a Korailia 1 to it as well. I'm also looking into possibly upgrading the lighting with the stock hood (no sun pod, my cats will go fishing).
Does anyone have any words of wisdom or places I can look about modifying the Aquapod 24? I've search the web and found a few but would like your advice too. THANKS!

Adding MH to stock hood, tubing flow around the tank, skimmer, cheato fuge

and yea man. they might close your thread. just be sure to have it for a couple days and then remove them asap.

Looks like you guys were right. I took the time to look up the rules. They dont like linking to other sites pretty much in general, usually because there are ads linking to their competitors. I think these rules are stiff
but I'll go ahead and delete the links. It's a shame because its a great way to share with everyone. It's bascially why I asked the question in the first place because I barely could find an answer to my question on these forums. I had to google the info myself. Oh well.

I'll keep an on your threads, I'm sure there are mods on the bio that are similiar to the Aquapod. Good inspiration.

i'll probably replace the pumps and such, but not quite sure if i'm ready to start filling it up. I kinda actually was thinking about starting after christmas, one because i should be saving money for christmas presents for the family and im going to be away on vacation for 8 days mid december and it worries me to leave the tank alone for that long, especially since its still new.

i know, its going to be hard, maybe i can stick with just water and LR and add the goodies when i get back from vacation...

Good idea, then you can have perfect parameters for when you wanna add the goodies

I would start the tank now, and let it mature and cycle properly. It will be good to go then after christmas when you are ready. JMO

starting freshwater leak test this weekend. I got the stand built and the eggcrate mod done. Buying GFCI's and surge protectors tomorrow at home depot. Should have my diary thread with pictures on Sunday. Look for it!
