Aquapod Lid Mod

Okay, i removed every other vent from the Aquapod fan cover to get more air circulation going. HOWEVER, i noticed that the extra air really wont be going anywhere because the plastic cover sealing the lights and electronics is blocking the air movement.
Has anybody else done this mod? DId it make a significant difference? Did you do anything else besides just removing every other vent?
I'm thinking about buying another fan because theres a plus ready for it and the other vent has

holes so it looks really easy, i just dont wanna do it if all im gonna be doing is circulating air within the plastic cover.
any help is appreciated.

I have 2 fans in each of my 4g AP...the lighting upgrade on one came with both....and I did my own upgrade on the other adn used 3....ditch the ones that come with it and by some quiet ones from Frys
I have 144watts in each and temp is never a problem
