The fish police may come and get me, but if I was starting fresh with new 24 gal, I would do an engineer goby.
I have one now in my 14gal. He is 4 months old, and he eats raw shrimp out of my hand. He has grown from a fry to about 3", and in probably 2-3months, he will need a new set-up. But Im telling you, this are one of the coolest species IMO. Very underrated. They like to hide, so if you want a show-off, you will want to add a clown too. But these guys are long like eels and like to create burrows under coral/rock. Cool fish.
