Im making a reef tank. I have noticed that the most pleasent look to me is blue. What is that blue that people paint on the back of there aquariums and how do they do it...spray paint?
thanks

Different strokes for different folks. Some paint it on, and some have the background that you purchase at the store. I have a black background, which I think brings out the color of my specimens. Its the reversible type you buy at the store. I didn't eant to paint.

i used a finding nemo poster for my back, on my 11g.
on my 90 i have nothing i thought of putting something on it
but now that the tank is set up agenst the wall
(i can not get behind it) i am just letting the
wood wall behind it show through
i do like black
it does show off the colors in your tank more

Paint it!!! I have a 55 that is painted blue and I love it!! It looks really neat ( as in clean.) I got latex paint and a primer from Sherwin Williams. It ended up costing $23.00 vs. $2.00 per foot for the tape on stuff, but the difference is unbelievable.

On my 180 I used a spray paint that I picked up at my local Home Depot. It is a deep blue with metallic sparkles and when the light hits it there is almost a "starlight" sheen to it.
