IYO, which book has been the most helpful to you, and the most knowledgeable? Im looking to buy a few, and maybe Ill be able to answer some of my questions in there, rather than make threads on here and take up space.

The New Marine Aquarium. I believe it's $14 on Amazon.

There is a book by a guy named Fenner I think, "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" or something like that I believe they sell it on this site.

Awesome books. Ill pick up the Conscentious Marine Aquarist soon it looks like. Is there any book that covers most of the popular trade corals and such? I know a friend of mines dad runs an aquarium-maintaining business and he has a few books, one of which outlines a lot of the corals and their requirements. Anyone have a good one? Thanks all, this is a good list.

Another good one that also looks great on the coffee table is "The Complete Book of the Marine Aquarium" by Vincent Hargreaves.
I love "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist."

I'm a newbie to the hobby and have purchased and read both "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" and "The New Marine Aquarium". I must say that overall they have a wealth of information, but I can't say that I am overly impressed with either.
TCMA seems a bit disjointed. It also advocates use of undergravel filters. From all I've read here this is a thing of the past and has been abandon for the LS/LR approach. Perhaps I am wrong.
TNMA seems pretty good but lacks detail in the areas I'm interested in at the moment. Doesn't really go over cycling the tank except for two or three paragraphs.
Overall these books offer a good bit of information but perhaps weren't written with total newbies (like myself) in mind. Just my two cents.

So far it looks like "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" and "The New Marine Aquarium" seem to be the most popular, but none has a huge range of information in it. I mean to the point where you read it and have new ideas to improve your system and see what you could do differently and beneficial. "Saltwater Fish For Dummies" seems like a good starter book, but next time I go to the book store Ill take a swing into the marine section and see if any good ones I can skim through and tell if any woo's me.
