Aquarium for a 3 year old...

A couple of months ago I was debating what to do with my 35 gallon hex. Well I decided to set it up in my little girl's room and let her pick out the fish. I set it up with her in mind and I think it came out pretty cool. I was a bit concerned about the colored sand/gravel but it did say it was safe for saltwater. I've noticed that it keeps the PH on the low side but I am buffering the tank.
Let me know your thoughts. Right now we just have the pair of skunk clowns and a small clean up crew. I don't know what my daughter will want after this but I'm thinking of things like a firefish, pygmy angel, sixline wrasse. But it will be her choice...

That definately looks "girly", in a kid kind of way, so she should love it. Nice job

Thanks for the feedback. It was a very different tank to set up but I like the way it came out. And my daughter loves it, (but she wants to buy fish every other day
). Thanks all.

My grandson turns 2 next month, and I'm starting to research setting up a fresh water tank for him to celebrate the occasion. The tank I have is a 12 gallon, and our LFS has tons of cute little boy figurines that will be added.
Your tank turned out very girly...great job!! Lucky little girl!

Thanks so much. I basically had to ignore all of my instincts when it came to setting up the tank. But she loves it so I'm happy about that.

Here is a pic of her new addition. For some reason I couldn't get a real clear pic of this guy...

Uummmm... I would call it PLASTIC!!

They don't grow very quickly but are pretty easy to maintain.

Try raising ISO on the camera.
Definitely a cute kids tank. I only had beach sand, a biowheel, bubbler, and a giant dead porties as my tank when I was a kid....
