Aquarium made out of PVC???

Hey all,
I ran into this webpage of a guy that has a 266 gal made out of PVC. Never heard of that before. He claims that it has many advantages over glass and acrylic, including being lighter and considerably cheaper. Here's a pic:

No, he's not talking about the plumbing or anything. It's the tank that's made out of PVC. Has anyone ever heard of them? Any info available?

Clear PVC has been around forever..... those little plastic windows on your tote bags and pop up campers, PVC. Is your blender in the kitchen cupboard clear and it's plastic? PVC.
I've worked a little bit with the stuff before... it is lighter than acrylic in comparison. Strength wise, I would say it was stronger but that is just talking about the material... my concerns would be the joints. I don't think it has the clarity of a good quality acrylic and I'm really not sure about the pricing... I know a 1/2" thick 4x8 sheet of clear PVC will run you close to $700, or at least it did a couple of years ago, maybe it came down, ..... does acrylic cost that much?!
