It says that it'll produce DEIONIZED water, which is the one everybody uses for their tank right?

I have one, if I had known any better, I wouldn't have bought it. It doesn't filter worth a poop and it works better as a paper weight.

If you dont mind waiting 1 hour plus for 5 gallons or have a small tank 29 gallons or less, also depends on the quality of your tap water and you dont mind flipping 30 bucks for replacement cartridges which depending on the quality of your water could be every 10 gallons. Used one myself for 2 weeks and my tap water is good quality very low TDS. Specs say good for up to 50 gallons i seem to recall, but that is really streching its capabilities. From personal experiences i only could squeeze 25 gallons before a cartridge change. (please excuse my spelling and punctuation as i have partaken in a few beers)

I used it for a couple years before my RO unit. I have well water that has high Iron and Magnessium. I'm sure it wasn't taking alot out if I had city, but it worked for me.

You can get 2 replacments online for that price.

25 to 125. Mine went to the higher limit, but I have well water.
