I currently have the glass tops that came with the tank and am wanting to get rid of them. the problem is I have an eel in the tank and dont think the wifey would like to come home to a eel on the carpet. I know people use eggcrate, but heard that it works as a light diffuser. what does this mean exactly? is it still better to use this than glass for light penetration?
