Aquascaping Question

I really think my tank looks plain at this time. I am starting with the FOWLR. I have approx 35-40 lbs of live rock/rubble (2 large rocks and rubble). I know I need more LR but that is the next purchase as it seems to cost me at least 80.00 per rock when I get one. what I wanted to know is do any of you use any of the Fake Coral to help decorate your tanks?
I really wanted to go all natural but even though LR has some nice areas of red and purple it really is pretty plain.
(Tank 65 gal)
Thanks
Chris

Stay natural! Rock ain't cheap is it?
I just finished off my LR, got the final 38 pounds for 190 bucks. Some of it was from another reefers tank that also crashed during Katrina and he brought it to the LFS for credit... Talk about jump starting my pod population! I figured the rock would be dead but it has good growth on it and my pods went from pretty much none to piles of them overnight.

hi, no fake corals here,
you dont need to use all LR. you can use tuffa, or lace rock, you can also use dry"live rock" all found at your LFS.
--just rinse all that suff good and proper!
here is my tank, I have added more LR, to hide the lace and tuffa, but its a good base, and will eventualy become "live"
goodluck

We just set up our 250 gallon. We transferred 125lb of live rock from our old tank.
Then we went to the local landscaping supply place and bought 125lbs of landscaping lava rock for .25$ per pound. We bought the large chunks and broke it up as needed to fill in smaller areas.
I used the lava for base rock, then put the live rock on top.
Been 2 months and the lava rock is getting a nice layer of corraline and other good stuff is starting to grow!
