aragonite sand in new tank

ok i will be adding my aragonite sand shortly i am using all matured water from my old tanka nd a buddies (who i trust 100%)
anywas i have 200 lbs of aragonite sand. will i need to add live sand or will this sand have to go throught a cycle anyways?
or will it be ok, i dont wat that diotoms alage
i can go buy a 20 lb back or live sand?

I think if you add live sand it will speed up the process of the cycle.

Your going to get diatom algea no matter what, but it's harmless and a good indicator your tank is cycling properly. If your just using the aragonite it will need time to seed off your live rock. Either way patience is a virtue in reef keeping.

rock and water
will i go throught a cycle, and can i avoid thsi by adding live sand to the mix?

u wont go thr a cycle. just add the sand. its fine.
