archiving private messages

i got this email...the only thing is most of my private messages are either from tobin or from the fine folks here when he passed on and im not ready to delete them how does one go about ' archiving' them - i went through and deleted the ones that were not important already

my inbox has been full for weeks.
i cant figure it out, either.
i axed previously, but didnt get much of a response.

OK so if you go to your private messages and go to bottom of the page in the bottom right side it will say Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text pick the one you want to save it as and click it and you done it will save it on your sys where you put it. hope this helps
