are dusters dead?

i received 4 feather dusters today they been in the tank for about 6 hours now only one has shown its feathers the others are not doing anything how can you tell if there ok or not ok thanks anyone know

They are probably OK and won't come out until they are used to their new surroundings. You can reach in your tank and apply a tiny bit of pressure to the tube. If you feel a little jump or jerk they are alive.

do not give up on them for a while. I once had one not come out of its tube for like 3 weeks. I was about to remove it thinking it was dead but out he came.
Just be patient I am sure he will be out.

Also when stressed,they will shed their feathers. When mine did,I made sure to spot feed them liquid plamkton with an eyedropper. The feathers will grow back.
 
thanks for all your help all my duster have come out so kool to watch them but they are really skiddish and hide alot when anything gets close well thanks for the help
