The reason i ask is becuase this thing is trirring up SO MUCH CRUD in my tank by his sloppy but overly thorough job that he does of sand sifting. He has been in the display for 3 days and has gotten sand ALL OVER THE ROCKS and stirred up ALL KINDS OF CRUD, which has made my water murky. What do you think? Is this gonna bother my corals?

It definitely might bother them. What kind of corals? I had to get rid of our sand sifting goby because he kept sifting sand over all our corals and live rock. He made a mess and the corals definitely werent happy to get half covered every day.

I have one in my reef and besides the taking some sand off of things occasionaly, he was a great addition, when he first got into my tank he did stir up quite a bit but now that he has been in there for about 3 months things clear up and my substrate looks great.

I second that, mine stirred things up pretty bad when he first arrived, maybe the beds just packed full of little morsels, but he evntually should settle down as he devours them.

Could be good for filter feeding type corals. The consaint stirring up the sand bed could be putting micro organisums and phyto into the water column for those type of corals. Could be....

Well i dont know if i'll have room for the elephant ear on my rocks, but we'll see when i get a chance to come look. But for right now i think i'm just gonna go with the candy cane if u still have it. Do you keep yours in the sand or on the rocks?
