Are Goatfish reef safe?

They are reef safe as far as not eating corals or bullying other fish, but they can eat all the life in your sand bed. I have never heard of them eating detritus, usually the are after small worms and crustaceans, the things that help keep your sand bed healthy. I have seen them in the wild, only one species though, reach a size of about 8". HTH

Im not sure if their reef safe, but they sure are cool! Just to see them swimming around with those whiskers twitching! They do get rather large, (what I consider large) about 12-14 inches.
