Yes!!!!!! I got one from a fellow forum member here last week. He is doin fine, but yes very active. He has killed around 6 of my asteria snails. He knocks them off the glass and sucks them out of the shell. He moves my sand and dig holes. He is very active swimming all around the tank, very beautiful fish though.

It really depends from fish to fish. I have had huma's in the past that were very docile. My current huma is very aggressive and only about 2-2.5" at the moment. It is going to be a monster when it gets older.

I agree it depends on the fish but for the most part they are known to be nasty with CUC's .

My humu is like a big teddy bear.
Never tries to bite my hand when I put it in the tank, doesn't bother the other fish, only thing it does is eat my hermit crabs. Shows no interest in snails, cleaner shrimp, serpent star or chocolate chip stars. He does move the sand around a lot. Every weekend when I do a water change I move the sand back, then he sets it in piles again. It's like a game. Great fish!

Agree, depends on the fish with Huma's...Mine was the least aggressive fish I ever owned I think. In five+ years, I never once saw him chase another fish, his only concerns when is dinner? What's for dinner? and where is owner with my dinner?

Your tank is completely empty?
Did I miss something?
Its a good stocklist I think, I would even recommend a small Huma as your 1st in, they are borderline bulletproof IMO. Are you ammonia free though?

Hey KJR ! How are you -? The tank is empty, a couple of mins ago, I got rid of the SFE and gave it to a friend. And the bat I had, I gave it away two days ago. I wanna start all over again.
I am planning on ordering the Humu and Porky online today. How
long does it take to ship -? Also no Ammonia, everything is 0

Humu should be fine with that stocklist. Its still a Trigger so the usual beware still needs to be stated, but a big tank and good feeding should help keep him docile.

If you order today, I expect you will see them next Tuesday...You can request a delivery day, I always use a FedEx/Kinkos drop off (if you have one near you), gets there earlier and less time on the truck.
I think a good choice for starting the tank, both very hardy, not sure how Porky's are shipped though as far as the possibility of "puffing up"
....Not sure if you have had a porky before, but they tend to be pretty lethargic for a day or two. I know a lot refuse their first few food offerings (mine did), dried krill dosed in garlic is a good start for some reason with them, just don't let him get hooked on the freeze dried stuff.
Sorry you had to boot the SFE, I loved mine....But my wife used to see him patroling the tank for food and would yell "SNAKE!!!!!!"

When I was acclimating my SFE he jumped out of the tupperware container I had him in and started slithering to and under my stand. Suffice to say, if he got under the stand that would've been the end of him as theres only about .25" gap. He was surprisingly quick and snakelike on the ground. Luckily I was right there when it happened and pulled him back quick with my bare hands.

This is a good, and usually over-looked idea. I get all my fish delivered by Fed-Ex. (The govt should take efficiency lessons from these guys) I live in the boonies, where we don't get Fed-Ex priority service, but not far from a Fed-Ex delivery/sort location. I pick my fish up at that office at 9AM; if I wait for the truck, its about 2-3PM.

Can you guys expand on that a bit? I haven't ordered very much live stuff online. Do you tell the store you want to use a drop-off location, or tell FedEx themselves? Does UPS/MailboxesETC do this too? Working in the summer, there is no one at my house for delivery and running out to pick up the fish at lunch is very doable.

Aqua, I think every major online dealer that I know of uses FedEx Overnight, frankly they have a far better reputation than UPS. You just find out the address of your nearest FedEx drop off (I think all Kinko's have this available). Just use their address as the "ship to" address, there is an option to check "use drop location" or something like that and you are set. I have done both (direct to house and drop off), the delivery to the drop off got there at least an hour earlier. Less time rattling around on the truck is good, especially in the heat this time of year.

Cool, the FedEx distribution center (SRFisher, is this the sort place your talking about? If you have some time, go to maps.google.com and enter fedex distribution under 'what' and 32809 under 'where' on the find business) is 15mins from work, and there's a FedEx/Kinko's 3mins down the road from work. Did you called them to let them know to expect a live-animal shipment?

Here's a link that will save you going through the FedEx home page. On the right, you want to search for "hold at location" FedEx sites. I always enter the FedEx address from the web site when I order and note that this is a FedEx location in the remarks. You don't have to notify anyone; their tracking system is incredible, you can follow your fish across the country almost in real time. Its a great service.http://www.fedex.com/Dropoff/start?locale=en_US
