Are scarlets and red legged hermits different?

Hiya,
I've been trying to get scarlet legged hermits for my tank, but anyone carries in my area are red legged hermits. Are they the same thing?

It depends. One of the LFS here sells the scarlets and calls them red legged. But, there is a mexican red legged hermit crab. I would ask them. You can also order on line from
