I have been trying to figure out why the clowns stay behind the filter. I think they are to young to breed - although I don't know what age they are suppose to be. I have had them since October and they were very tiny when I got them.
Anyway I spotted these things behind the overhang of the filter where the clowns hang out. :scared: Does anyone know what this is?

Those are sponges, eggs would appear orange or redish in color. Those are most definetly Q-tip sponges.

If you mean the little white things, those are sponges.
My clowns used to hang out under the filter all the time. Don't know why.

So these sponges are ok then? Just freaked me out. I usually tank my entire filter off once a month or so and clean it. So should I not do that now?

Sponges are great, they take small bits of organic material out of the water. You can clean them off if you want, they will likely just pop back up later.

Well I would LOVE a coral beauty - but I have to wait until I get my 120...LOL
I don't think a CB would like my 29 gallon
