are they bad?

i recently purchased some lr, they had these little "anenomes" on them, the person at the lfs called them something (complatia sp?) and said they are bad for my tank, especially anenomes. any ideas what these things are?

Sounds like aiptasia and yes you will need to get rid of them. Peppermint shrimp will eat them and there are a couple more ways.

Yeah, you do not want them and should try to kill them before they spread all over the place. Like stated, you can either get a peppermint shrimp to eat them or kill them with boiling hot water or a product called Joe's Juice.

Copper Banded Butterfly will eat them too!!! That's if it's a well established and big enough tank for it. Otherwise, stick with peppermint shrimp. :happyfish
