Are they trying to fix it?

For months now I've had my email notification off and for months I've been receiving emails when someone responds to a thread that I've subscribed to. However - today - it is SOOO much worse than usual.
Usually I only get one email until I review the thread, then I will get then next one that responds after that. Today - I am getting a notification about every person that responds to that thread.
I hope this means they are trying to remedy the situation and not that it's getting worse.

You can go into your personal profile and turn that feature off. It may take a while to stop but it works.

Yep - did that several months ago - no luck.

Hmmmm.... I clicked on User CP, then clicked on Edit Options, then about halfway down the screen said "no" to e-mail notification by default.
Sorry if this is what you already tried. Just trying to help.
