I just got this really nice bicolor wall hammer from my LFS yesterday.. Its a perfectly circular shape, with a 4" diameter when closed. When it is open it is easily 7 inches in diameter. I got it for a nice deal as well.
However, I saw a thread recently about a lot of people who have had trouble with hammer corals! They claim they just start to wither away from one side to the other- for no reason. They say it happens about 3 weeks or so after have the coral with no problems. The people experiencing the problem, as well as others, claim that wall hammers are hard to keep.. but to my knowledge, I thought Euphilla was pretty hardy and easy to keep??
So I was jsut looking on anyones input or experience with wall hammers.
Although, there were some who said they've kept there wall hammer's for months and had no problem at all. This is my favorite coral of all that I've owned... I'd hate for anything to happen to it!
