Arrow crab behavior?

Anybody familiar with arrow crab behavior? I have one and for the first month he was very active, but now he hides alot and not moment during the day. Is there something wrong or is he just in some type of molting process?

He may have just found his "spot" and is comfortable. Arrows can be pretty aggresive so maybe having him not moving around too much is a good thing.

Maybe...but the only addition after him was a sallylightfoot crab and a bunch of soft corals. I think it might be an affect of molting. Hiding to protect himself till he fully recooped. Anybody agree?

I would agree with that, but Ive had mine for two months now and he hasnt molted yet, so I would not know. I think he probably is molting though because mine is very active and is out 24-7. Any way, hope everything turns out alright :D

Thanks. I 'd hate to lose him. He's been a great attraction and conversation piece. That, and the fact the my wife picked him and it's her favorite.

I have had several arrow crabs and have only had one molt so far if he is hiding he is either happy or is not going to make it.......mine are all over the tanks all the time all day any only go up when turn the lights off or they have a worm they don't want taken from him
