arrow crab dangerous?

There are mixed articles online... some say they will kill just about anything, some say only slow moving fish. I just purchased an arrow crab today and would rather take him back than lose anything in my tank. I have: 1 cc star, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 sally lightfoot crab, 1 fireshrimp, 1 lettuce nudi, 1 serpent star, 1 fighting conch, a few snails, 1 blue legged hermit crab. All of that is in a 20g with about 45lbs of live rock. Does anyone think it will hurt these things?

During the time i have had an arrow crab i have never seen it kill any fish of mine. Though i do know that they enjoy snacking on hermits and snials. I am not sure for everything else what he will touch but he may try to eat one of them when he gets bigger.

They are hit and miss. I had one and it killed a few hermits, a snail and then it killed my peppermint shrimp. They are opportunistic carnivores.......in other words, they will kill and eat what they can catch. They are good at eating keepign bristle worms in check though.

I've also heard that they're hit or miss.
It seems like with these kind of opportunistic feeders there's a greater chance of keeping them from harming anything else if you keep them well fed so maybe give that a try. It's no guarantee but it can't hurt and may help! :joy:
