I would'nt recommend one, I've had an established tank for about 6 months (180) reef and I had 2 cleaner shrimp almost since the beginning, I loved them. My friend had a Arrow Crab that got too big for his tank and I thought it would be fine in mine and it killed and ate both my shrimps, I was PISSED!!!! Needless to say he was toast!!!!

Most people told me no when I asked about them. I don't have a reef tank but I have an Arrow crab now with lots of snails and a few hermits and he is as peaceful and gentle as any thing in my tank. In fact my Anthias tries to let the AC clean him but the AC just kinda backs off thinking the fish is trying to get fresh with him. I have heard that they can be monsters too though so I wouldn't get one for a reef tank if you don't want to take a risk.

actually , after doing alot more searching and looking at last posts.. looks like you basically have a 50/50 chance of this crab killing everything.
since i dont have my tank yet, and the only things i really would like are 2 percula clowns and a BTA for them, perhaps i could still get it.
i have no interest in the snails or hermits.. so i wouldnt have to worry about them becoming dinner.,
since its a 30 gallon, with 50 lbs of LR., that should be enough space for 1 crab and 2 fish
im still wondering about it though.
any feedback would be nice
