How agressive are arrow crabs? I was thinking of putting one in my sea horse tank but wasnt sure. The tank is 20 gallons with one sea horse, one serpent star, one sea slug, one of those orange tree sponges and 2 peppermint shrimp.I have a dsb and 20 punds of rock. I really need something to eat the left over ghost shrimp heads that my sea horse does not eat if i can not get a arrow crab what else do you guys recomend?

My arrow crab isn't aggressive at all. However, I have been told thar arrow crabs will eat starfish, so I don't think you want one in your tank.

Don't do it! I got a $3 Arrow Crab, that I witnessed kill a $12 Engineer Goby, and a $40 Volitan Lionfish. Man, that was an expensive meal. It happened one day after another. It killed the Engineer, and I had it setup with the LFS to take it in the next day, and as I came up to get it out, I saw it lunge at, and impale the Volitan. Man, I was mad. Don't get it. They also have a tendency to make a meal out of Soft Corals.

What about scralet reef hermits, or blue legs, would those be ok with my sea horse and slug.

I would definitely say no on adding an arrow crab, a lot of times they eat fish so a slow moving seahorse would be an easy target. I'm pretty sure hermit crabs will do okay, they are not as aggressive as arrow crabs, IMO, but if the seahorse is slow enough they might try to eat it, but never had any personal experiences.

definitely have to agree,
there are some who have had luck with them, but most have been problems, esp with slow moving or more docile fish, they can be very agressive inverts and can and will eat anything they can grab ahold of, i can nearly guarentee no more horses, not to mention your other fish
