Article Sub-Forum

I know that SWF.com will probably be making even more changes in the near future, so I thought I'd bring up an old topic.
It has been discussed many times and I do not remember any objections to the idea. I'm talking about a forum for articles.
I'm going to be perfectly blunt at this point, please excuse my tone. The stickies in each of the forums are about 50/50 as far as usefulness. For example, in the New Hobbyists forum we see a few helpful stickies, like the 101 tips thread. No offense to Florida Joe here, but do we really need a parasitic worms sticky? As good of a read as this thread is, of what value is it to a brand new hobbyist?
I propose a sub-forum in which a database of articles can be kept and submitted. Through this we can find threads that can be used as stickies all across the board. We could even have article contests.
It's an idea that I cannot take claim to, but feel needs to be brought up again.

I posted this in the Ask Saltwaterfish.com section, but I figured that there would be no harm in posting here as well. If you would like to argue the necessity, utilize personal messages.

That is actually why the Archive Forum was created...however, not sure how much the Archives Forum is actually used.
Personally, I don't care for a lot of stickies at the top of forums, even though I have put up two info-stickies, non-discussion topics, in the Disease Forum. These however, are frequently visited due to hobbyists' need to address disease issues quickly.
Maybe the Archives need to be called something else.
