asm g1x protein skimmer ?

I just bought a used asm g1x and I want to know how to adjust the outflow to get a drier skimate. Right now its only been plugged in for about 10 minutes and the cup is pretty much full of water. Thanks for any help on this guys!

Is it brand new? It may just need to break in a little. I have an ASM G3 and I didn't have to do any adjustments at all, BUT it did take a few days to break in

the tube that your outflow water is pouring out of can be raised and lowered to change the water level in the skimmer. The lower the outflow the lower the waterlevel in the skimmer thus creating a dryer skimmate.

Also, if I lower the output all the way and the cup is still overflowing with bubbles all over the place, what would you reccomend? Thanks

if your tube is all the way down and its still overflowing then you either have a very very dirty tank or something is wrong with your skimmer.

seems to be better now. No its not new, got it used from the lfs.
