ASM Protein Skimmer...

Does anyone have a ASM Protein Skimmer Mini G? I just got one today for my 60 gallon tank and it doesn't seem to be producing many bubbles...looks like its just swirling water with a few bubbles in the water...i have the airline attached but is there an adjustment knob somewhere or am i expecting too much from this skimmer? Thanks for any advice on this...

how high is the water level its sitting in?

the water in the sump is about 1/3 of the way up the sid(enough to cover the pump) and the water inside is up to the 3/4 of the tube so the gunk can over flow into the reservior.
