Assist needed in reef dip

I tried this in reef section and figured I would try it here. I am trying to save my hammer coral using the reef dip and was wondering if anyone knows how many times I need to do this. I dipped it lastnight and the instructions do not mention how many times. Should I wait and see or do it often?
