I have a Atelomycterus macleayi (marbled cat
shark) comming in that i ordered 2 month ago.. probleblem is that my other fish has ick. I can't treat them as it is a reef tank. My Q is if sharks can get ick ? if they can what to do ? (it will last at least 2 month before I get my 240 G running so putting it in another tank is not an option)

Yes sharks can get ick, and because you can't treat cat sharks with copper you may need to get some other types of medications... if you can get him into a quaranteen tank, you can drop the salinity to less than 1.015 which should kill the parasites off. Another way is to use formalin. Those are some of the choices I know of.

Thanks for the fast answer..
Problem is that the shark is delivered i two days.. there is no way I can set up a Q tank in that time. Medication and hyposalinity is impossible as I have a lot of SPS in the tank. How easy do they catch ick ? Is there any chance that he will not get sick ? or should I try to get someone to keep him until the ick clears or I get another tank running

Sharks have excellent immune systems, in some ways much more efficient than humans immune systems. So you may be lucky and your shark will never develop ich signs. However to be on the safe side I would try to get it out of your tank if you can.
