ATO failed....almost

I have an ATO system on my 130. Well, this morning I woke up,opened one of the doors on the stand so I can flip the sump light on...and notice the 40 gallon sump is ALMOST overflowing...literally 1/2 inch from going over... quick diagnosis, only culprit can be the ATO. Luckilly I have redundency build into the system...so there is a secondary float switch in case the inital one fails...which it did. Investigated further and the float swith did not actually fail,it got stuck due to some debris. Anyways..all is fine. Moral of the story. If at all possible, have a plan B on every piece of equipment that you can.

Good deal on the backup float, this is a lesson to all those that might consider or don't take warning that plumbing your RO/DI dierectly to the sump.... Prime example as to how they can stick open!!!!
