Frank, thanks so much for your advise on ich and q tank. I've got garlic food soak started and will set up q tank following your instructions so I can cycle faster and get the fish in there. so far fish are acting fine and spots are not spreading so hopefully, I'll rescue them in time. Stay on this bb your advise is great especially for those of us that are new sw addicts and commit stupid mistakes.
THANKS!

thanks for the kind words.
Hopefully you can get the fish into treatment ASAP.
We all start off by making mistakes, just keep an open mind, and read, read, read.
Its worked for me
good luck

OK, I've got the q set up now. so I am a bit confused on why it takes 2 - 4 days to cycle since I have used main tank water and a live rock out of main tank. Isn't it already cycled?
Thanks, Debi

Debi:
your right, the stuff from your main tank is considered cycled, and once you remove it from that main tank and put it into a new tank w/ less or little waste levels the bacterial levels will readjust. 2-4days was just a guess, its probably not going to cycle but please don't take a chance. Keep using main tank water and do a chem test 3 days after and see if you catch a blip of ammonia
your on your way
