Can I use reef safe epoxy or should I use glue?

epoxy won't attach to mushrooms.
Superglue gel does work, but it burns the coral. You should frag it and put it on a cup of crushed coral, so the base can attach to some crushed coral pieces. Then you can glue it to a rock.
Also, you can rubber band the mushroom to a rock. That will split it in two.

i forgot to mention that i have it in a cup with live rock ruble waiting for it to attach to a piece and was wondering what's best way to attach that piece of ruble to my live rock
