attack of the decorator crab

My decorator crab decided he liked my leather coral. Last night he stripped the trunk of most of the outer skin. Is there any hope for the leather. Is there any treatment I should do to help? I guess my crab needed a new leather coat for winter:)

That stinks, but glad you can find humor in the situation. I don't know much about corals, but at least if it dies you have a styling crab.

you may want to give the coral disinfectant baths daily to prevent or kill infectous bacteria but otherwise if possible remove the coral and quarantine to protect it and keep your main tank free of polutants it may give off if it dies
