I got a Brazillian, not a Hawaiian. I believe they are the most expensive. My dragon cost me $150. I got a deal from the LFS FINALLY!!! Here he is in all his glory.

cool. I have anthor question for you. I thought that putting an air stone in your tank was bad. What is your prespective on this?

I installed the airstone due to the fact that there is no wet/dry on this tank. I installed a very tight cover on this one also so that he wouldnt escape. With no surface area contacting the air, no wet/dry to do so and given the eels inherrant need for alot of O2, it was necessary.

Well, u thought wrong. How could putting an airstone in a tank possibly be bad? Cuz it pops salt against the lights? Thats wat covers are for. Cuz it doesnt look natural? So wat. It aerates the water and it looks cool. Nice eel.

I heard that it makes the salt creep. I had an air stone like 3 years ago and it make the salt form on the outside of the tank. I also had a lid on the tank.

very nice eel Gas, the colors are awesome.
BTW why is it in every thread Lionfish12 posts a reply Liontamer jumps all over him and contributes nothing? Do you troll threads to find out where Lionfish posted just to flame him? Its sad, pathetic, and ironic since you have no more experience than him but pretend to know more. Shouldn't you be in school anyway?

There's actually quite a danger in having many fine bubbles suspended in system water. Two examples: Emphysematosis, "gas bubble disease"... sort of like the bends for fishes... and some types of exophthalmia, aka "bubble eye" are directly due to fine bubbles.

Thats a canister filter. I run two of them on that tank. Theryre the smaller Magnum 350.
GeatfullReefer- How do you propose I get around the aeration issue with out an airstone and a full tight fit lid??? Im definately open for suggestions here.
