Hey, I just found your post. PM'ing doesn't work here.
I go to Exotic Pets in Bristol. It's down the 11E HWY all the way through Bristol until you get to State Street. Keep going into Virginia and there's a small road on the right right past Dairy Queen. Turn right and there it is. It looks like an old house.
I also go to Sea Oddities in Kingsport sometimes. Thery are a lot more professional looking but really they have less selection (especially corals) and higher prices.
You are more likely to find something rare or hard to find at Exotic Pets.
There's not a saltwater fish store in Johnson City.

Dang right! I like Red Pig's tea also. They taste about the same. As you go north of Kentucky, sweet tea becomes unknown to most people.

oh i almost forgot about them. being a souhtern girl if you order sweet tea up here they give you a weird look like ur from mars. my husband will always say that will wake up anyone from diabetic shock. :D it was good talking to ya and happy reefing!!

Not commonly. The further north you go the less likely you are to get sweet tea. A friend of mine ordered sweet tea once and they brought him back some hot tea (unsweetened) with coffee creamer.
When I was in Wisconsin and Minnesota last summer, I just drank Sprite. Tea was nowhere.
In the south it's called Southern Table Wine. :jumping:

Sly,
I'll send you my first born if you send me something from Pal's. My wife is from Kingsport and got me addicted to Pal's then made us move to SC. It's been 3 years since I had a chipped ham, sauce burger, or any of those "frenchy fries".

Yea, I like Pal's fries too. They don't salt them as much as they used to. They used to be better. That's pretty cool. I didn't know so many people were familiar with this area. I live in JC about 2 miles from ETSU. I wish there was a fish store here. I try to stay away from Kingsport if at all possible. My dad calls it "stinksport" because of Eastman.

Jacknjill, where are you in NC??
And just to drag out the original thread, I was born raised in Youngstown OH, been in Char. for quite some time now, and the south has sweet tea but that's all it has in the way of food stuff. Gosh, I miss all the varieties from up north!! Great food...no jobs:nope: Anyway, I just had to put in my $.02

Don't get me wrong, and not to start a war. I LOVE it down here!!! This is home to me. But I wish there were actually real restaurants down here. I wish I had more options than fast food or commercial food. Olive Garden and Pizza Hut and Red Lobster is about as fancy as it gets!! If I moved out of Charlotte today, I can't think of a single restaurant that I'd miss...
Oh Yeah!! They just put in a Quaker Steak & Lube!!
But that's outa Sharon PA. (my old neighbor):D
