Anyone who has expertise on sump with auto top off.
I think I need to have auto top off, where I shall install auto top off device to? I has 10 gallon sump, should put auto top off to return area? I noticed that return area has water low due to evaporate. DT has stable with water level, there no changes and also skimmer, there are same.. I think the return pump to feeding the water to level as possible. overflow is 600 gph to keep skimmer fill with water. I added about 2 gallons every 2 or 3 days.
I has black marker line for water level, on DT and Skimmer area. they are level but return area has lower every few days.

You can add the water to any where in the system you want here is what I have.
It’s a light switch incased in the blue boxes with a cover. Then I screwed it to the side of my sump and drilled a hole in the end of the switch and attached an eye loop screw in the end of the switch. Then I use one of the brass toilet floats rods with a float hanging on that. I bought one of the short extension cords that you can see the two separate wire's and cut a wire to splice on the light switch. Then you plug it in and plug a power head into it from a bucket of fresh water with a hose to any where in your sump. Be careful your top off pump doesn’t create a siphon. Then you just fill the 5 gal bucket or what ever with fresh water. If I remember right all of this cost about $20 or so and I had a small power head.
The water level will rise and fall in chamber 3 where your return is.
Always use buffer when just adding fresh water
