Avoid the Biocube

I got the 14gl this last April and the fans have failed plus the moonlight short out. I have tryed to get customer service to help out and after 6 calls today and being put on hold I was told by the receptionist that she was on the line with an important client and I would have to call back tomarrow.
If you don't believe that biocube customer service is terrible and they don't care about backing thier Biocubes, wait till yours goes bad or buy one and try to get them to help out for yourself. Waste of hard earned money.

Keep on it, because you are the first I have heard with such problems. Hopefully everything works in your favor.

I got my Biocube about 8 weeks ago - I had it for less than 48 hours before the fans failed. I've tried calling Customer Service nearly 1/2 dozen times for any help at all and haven't gotten any good answers yet. The fans still don't work right - but I don't want to disassemble it to take it apart and start over. I'm going to keep pestering them until I get some help!!

Im not backing Oceanic but, I had a situation where I dropped my brand new cube upon entering my house with it the first day I bought it. Smashed into a million pieces all over my floor. I called Oceanic it see if there was anything they could do, the tank cut my finger before it slipped out of my hands and imo is what made me let go of it as it was slipping out of my arms.
Anyway logistics of the accident aside, it took oceanic over a week to get back to me. But the guy I spoke to told me that somthing like that can be covered under a warranty. I had to take it back to the place of purchase and, they were to return it as an open box broken item. They would in turn call me when the new one was shipped in. This place didnt do alot of volume with oceanic and that day I went to another store and bought another cube right away. So, I didnt need a replacement tank I wanted my money back. The store owner and I agreed upon 1/2 cash back and 1/2 store credit. Which was fine with me there was alot of other things i needed. But a credit to oceanic they were fantastic with helping me. The only downside was waiting over a week to hear back from them.

About 2 weeks after I got my Bio Cube the daylight went out but the fans stayed on so I called Oceanic. I called them up and explained the problem and they said it was the ballast, asked for my address and sent the new ballast to me. Funny thing on the third day with no daylight went to turn it on and it worked so now I have a new ballast with my supplies just in case. Sorry to hear about your problem but Oceanic took care of me.
