Okay, I have a 50 gal. long with 55lbs LR & 65lbs sand (40lbs natures ocean, 20lbs cc sand, 5lbs live sand from lfs). I have a Fluval 304 and a Skilter. This is getting more and more expensive!
In order to EVENTUALLY build a reef... I'll need a better protein skimmer, much better lighting...
AND a sump? refrig.. um?...
Will you all post easy links for me on how to build a sump? I mean, I don't really need to pay the lfs to come out here and drill holes etc.? I don't want to drain my tank.
Speak to me like I'm a damsel... cause I am. I've seen your diagrams... but I don't understand AT ALL -- what pumps the water to and from the tank? What keeps the sump from overflowing?... etc. etc. etc. Thanks for your patience.
