The sarcophyton spp. that I got at a huge discount from the lfs('cause it was doing bad....:} )...has progressed very well in my reef......fully opens and polyps extend daily.....over all this lavender colored toadstool coral has turned into quite a cheap and beautiful addition
recently I saw 2 small sections that seemed to be seperating from the coral.....didn't know what was up at first....but now I do.......both sections sort of were splitting off from the coral so I removed them and placed them in different spots in the tank.....today both dime sized frags are spread to about a quarter size with polyps extended.......got a "sick" sarcophyton spp. from the lfs for 10.99(was 49.99 I think) and now have a fully recovered parent and 2 growing babies........man it feels good to see nature in your indoor systems....at least I'm pleased with it.....and couldn't resist sharing with those of you that have helped me and my New Mexico reef!!!!!!!!!!
