You may remember that last November I found a baby Ophiomasta annulosa in my tank. I thought I would give a quick update.
It is now approx. 34mm in size, about a 50% increase in 6 weeks. It seems to be a little less timid than at first. It will now come out to take food from forcepts.
I was a little concerned about it's tankmates but so far so good. It lives in a small tank (10 gal) with an emerald crab, blue leg hermit, a tiny hitch hiker crab of some sort and a peppermint shrimp. I'm sure that if baby brittle star was on the menu, he would be gone by now.
I'll try to remember to give another update in another month or so.
Take care
