I got about 300 baby cleaner shrimp out of my tank into a make shift tub.I need to know about lighting and food for these little guys.I heard someone say phytopankton, do you buy this in liquid form or hatch them. Can you get it at the local fish store.Should you use a air bubbler or not. Thanks jeremy

Do you breed cleaner shrimp? I don't know very much at all about cleaner shrimp, I just got a huge one at the the lfs the other day, and just feed it shrimp pellets.

No i don't breed them but this is the 4th time in 5 months i have seen them. I decided to try to save them this time. Before they become fish food. They all huddle in a ball so i got them out with a big turkey baster. You have to feed them phytoplankton(Fi-do plankton)That's how to pronounce it.It comes in a liquid form but not all lfs sell it.

you can get the phytoplankton on the net. Make sure it has no phosphates. Are you running a skimmer in this tub or any LR. Too much plankto can mess upo your water conditions quickly. for Lighting I would suggest the normal light schedule that your fish have. Obviously your cleaner shrimp liked it if they were comfortable enough to mate. just watch the levels int he tub, as younger creatures are not as strong....
