Baby clowns!

6 weeks ago we did a water change in our tank and discovered our mated pair had eggs on the glass. We got afew dozen off and into the hospital tank and waited. We thought we saw afew fry hiding in the live rock and started feeding bottled phyto. There are more babies then we first thought. When the clowns laid another batch we put afew dozen in with 2 week old fry and they also hatched. All are doing well and eating. I guess we lost some, but don't know because they jut in and out of the rocks so we can't get a count.

Cool discoveries... there is a forum just for breeding --- if you do a search on marine ornamental breeding -- don't want to put in the website but if you are serious trying to raise them it can be very helpful.

Best I could do, they are tiny. You can see the one in the top middle. Those dark spots in the sand are fry also.

Kind of looks like mysid shrimp to me. Do they move pretty fast and sort of like a swarm?
I often have people say "Hey , you have baby clowns in this tank too!"", but they are actually seeing mysids.
I guess you would know by know though, because the clowns should have gone through metamorphosis and have their first stripe by the 2 week point.

You were correct, they are shrimp.
My clowns have another nest and i will move them when the time comes. I wonder if i should remove the shrimp, no idea if they will eat the eggs before they hatch??? Any ideas on that?
