Here is a pic of a RBTA I picked up as a hitchhiker a few months back. The rock was pretty crappy but the BTA was a keeper so I picked it up. The first pic is an old one and the second is after it moved to higher ground.....

Im not sure about the last post. Yeah the little guy is doing great the only problem is that it planted itself next to an aptasia. I have tried over and over again to kill this last one off. The aptasia has planted itself deep inside a piece of LR and is very sensative to my Kalk paste attacks. Plus I dont want to burn the BTA. I am just hoping that the RBTA has a more powerful toxin and will eventually kill off the aptasia. If not I will keep trying to kill the stupid thing. Cant wait until the RBTA is bigger......

Do you have any peppermint shrimp?
Sometimes aptasia gets big enough that the peppermint shrimp dont fool with it.. if that happens and you have a good supply of peppermint shrimp.. just tear the thing off the rock and let it spred little babies for the peppermint shrimp to eat... thus getting rid of the big one and feeding peppermint shrimp for a few days ;)

Two days ago I kalk pasted the little aptasia

. He hasnt come back. The only problem is that I hard a softie below and burnt it a little. Hopefully it comes back. This aptasia really dug in to a huge crater in my LR making it a real pain to get to. Hopefully, it worked and my BTA will move around the rock to the front. I am looking into getting MH lighting in October. Anyone have a good cheap company that has retrofits for a 6in canopy on a 55gal?

Here are some new pics of the little guy... You can see the aptasia recessed into its little crevice. Also on one of the pics you can see the burn the coral below received from the Kalk paste falling onto it. I am close to pulling the whole rock and filling the crevice with Kalk paste for a few minutes to finish that aptasia off.

That aptasia sure does have good survival instincts, its between a rock and a hard place.
I sure do feel for your soft coral.
How about sticking hemostats in there, grabbing it and jerking it out then coating the hole with kalkwasser? Any bits that may survive would grow into smaller thinner walled more easily killed aptasia.
I don't know if this would work just a thought.

Your bta looks great. How long is your tank up and running? And, would you please tell me what your temp in your tank is, and SG? I am having some health issues with my bta.
Thanks.
p.s. I tried to email you privately so I wouldn't disturb this thread, but your email is private. Thanks.
