baby seahorses

i have 5 baby seahorses left since fri night i am trying everything that i can think or to keep them alive but it seems like everyday i come home from work another one is dead should i just give up trying to save them when they are born i heard that the other seahorses would not eat them if left alone in the tank or shoyld i keep them in the breeded

no my husband made a breeding basket for them it is made out of plactic with thousands of tiny holes so the water was constantly filtered and i clean the bottom of it with my turkey baster at least 30 times a day and they have 24 hour baby brime shrimp in with them at all times and i still seem to be losing them

Hi,
I kept SH for years, Loved them! I have had MUCHO FRY. Yes, they are very hard to keep alive but can be done. They will need to eat enriched brine... Then you can ween them onto frozen mysis...
Here is a pic of my lusery. I clip it into the tank and the tube on the top is connected to a SMALL filter hung seperatly on the back so it gets circulation. Put in a few hitching posts and vwalaa.... you have the perfect fry tank....

sorry i have not been on i went on a wild goose chase to look for male seahorses i have 4 babies left i am putting in vitamins in with the baby shrimp hopefully that helps i tried to email you but its blocked if you want to email me first then we can talk thats great mine is dods3cats9@aol.com no my husband made me a small breeding tank from plexie glass with a ton of small holes for circualtion this way they never left the water they were born in but im still losing them

I missed my first brood being born because I was at a dental confrence, my daugher called me on my call and was freaking out.. they were everywhere. BUT, when I got home I got a shot glass and started scooping them into the nursery, then next time, i just put dad in the nursery when it was time and vwoolah... hundreds of baby fry. Try to get a video clip of it next time, I lost mine when my puter got fried..
